About Auto Cure | Our History

Auto Cure Midrand was launched in August 1996, by Markus Minihold, a qualified Mechanical Engineer. Markus has always been a petrol head, due to his father, who has been in the motor industry for most of his life.

Markus’ passion for all things relating to motor vehicles was his main driving force for opening Auto Cure. The poor service delivery in the motor industry, predominantly in the service sector, made this challenge worthwhile. His absolute commitment to service excellence has ensured the success of the business to date.

In 2003, Markus purchased his Porsche 911 SC. Having raced a Formula M in his youth, he had always wanted to get involved in motorsport. He has developed his Porsche to being the fastest narrow body 911 on record at both Kyalami and Zwartkops raceway in 2007. The car has now been developed into a 911 RSR replica.

Repair & Maintenance Services

AutoCure and Silverton Radiators is a full service facility. We are able to carry out major and minor repairs to all out of warranty vehicles ranging from passenger cars to Light commercial vehicles, up to 4 ton trucks.

Radiator Testing & Repairs

We can diagnose cooling system problems. Unexplained water loss and overheating. We have the knowledge and the equipment to find the fault - no need to keep on replacing parts until the problem is “solved”.
